Sonic Movie Design Being Fixed

Sonic makeover is coming says director Jeff Fowler. Will Sonic The Hedgehog redesign fix the November 2019 video game movie?

Sonic movie director Jeff Fowler responded to fan criticism via Twitter. He addressed the Sonic movie look of the blue hedgehog, writing on Twitter that design changes are “going to happen.”

“The message is loud and clear,” Fowler wrote on Twitter Thursday. “You aren’t happy with the design & you want changes. It’s going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be…#sonicmovie #gottafixfast.”

The Sonic the Hedgehog movie trailer dropped Tuesday and the reaction from fans centered around the use of human teeth and weird legs on Sonic.

I’m glad that the Sonic movie redesign is going to Happen after fan backlash, but it should have never got to this point. Tim Miller, Paramount Pictures, and SEGA are all dedicated to making the sonic redesign look more video game accurate. When will you learn that your actions have consequences when it comes to video game movies studios?

Sonic The Hedgehog the movie is a live-action adventure comedy based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog. The film follows the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound – human – best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination. The Sonic Hedgehog movie also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.

The film sees ‘Parks and Recreation’ star Ben Schwartz voice the supersonic hedgehog. He was also known for voicing Dewey Duck in Disney’s ‘DuckTales’ reboot. Jim Carrey of ‘Bruce Almighty’ fame plays Dr. Robotnik, the baddie from the video game series. ‘Westworld’ star James Marsden plays protagonist Tom Wachowski, the sheriff of Green Hills, while Natasha Rothwell, Tika Sumpter, Neal McDonough, and Adam Pally are also part of the cast.

Jeff Howler will helm the film in what will be his feature directorial debut. He is best known for his work in animation, having been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film as writer and director of the animated short film ‘Gopher Broke’, and the plot will be based on the game developed by the SEGA Sonic team comprising Yuji Naka, Naoto Ohshima, and Hirokazu Yasuhara

Sonic The Hedgehog The Movie Release date is November 8, 2019
