2019 NBA playoffs for Orlando Magic roster after long rebuild? Will they make a trade? My midseason basketball review.
Talk about are flawed NBA team. The Orlando Magic roster is young without a playmaking point guard and good bench depth. The team has gone through its NBA rebuild has went through a number of coaches and two general managers since Dwight Howard was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. The Magic’s former GM Rob Hennigan traded Tobias Harris away for nothing. Traded Victor Oladipo for Serge Ibaka. Both were traded away before they came close to their primes. Victor Oladipo has since become an All Star and All NBA Player.
Right now in the NBA Eastern Conference standings, they trail the Charlotte Hornets (Kemba Walker) for the 8th playoff spot. They will be in a battle with them as well as the Detroit Pistons (Blake Griffin & Andre Drummond) and Washington Wizards who are without John Wall for the remainder of the regular season. Brooklyn Nets are 7th, but they could fall back.
Can the Steve Clifford led Orlando Magic make it to the 2019 NBA Playoffs with the current basketball roster?
They will most like have to make a trade with another NBA team to bolster the teams weak bench to make the playoffs. Regardless, we aren’t going to make a dent in the playoffs and challenge the Golden State Warriors (Kevin Durant Stephen Curry) in the NBA Finals. If Orlando miss the playoffs, everything will be ok Magic fans! It’s better than preparing for the 2019 NBA draft in November like previous Magic seasons!
So Magic fans! I got questions for you.
1. Do you think we can make the playoffs?
2. If yes, what needs to happen between now and the NBA trade deadline for this Orlando Magic roster?
3. If no, what do you want to see happen for the rest of the season?
4. Is Mo Bamba a bust?
5. Feelings on Steve Clifford?
