Black Peter Pan Movie? Wendy Loves Her Magical Negro!

Woke Hollywood just won’t learn. A tokenized Black Peter Pan live action movie? New Wendy film already a 2020 box office flop!

Hollywood goes woke again with beloved childhood characters! Who asked for a Wendy from Peter Pan movie? The woke people who play identity politics. Congratulations feminists you anti white SJWs get to celebrate another female empowerment cringe film for little girls to love. The go woke go broke Hollywood woke movie flops like Fantastic 4, Ghostbusters 2016, Charlie’s Angels, Ocean’s 8 isn’t stopping Beasts Of Southern Wild director Benh Zeitlin from blackwashing Peter Pan and it’s a problem! First the Halle Bailey black Little Mermaid live action movie and now this news of a magical negro Peter Pan 2020 film. Is this the African American representation in movies that you want woke Hollywood to do black people? The new live action Wendy 2020 movie is reimagining of the classic Peter Pan story. It has a twist. This time around, the Peter Pan story is seen through the eyes of Wendy Darling, the little white girl whom Peter befriends and whisks away to Neverland. The other twist is that Wendy 2020 cast Peter Pan as a person of color! So basically we get an inexcusable & lazy race swapped magical negro character in a Wendy 2020 film. My Wendy trailer reaction? Woke Hollywood already failing 2020. Why would they race swap Peter Pan? Race changing characters is corny! Who asked to produce a black Peter Pan movie? That is setting you up for the mystical negro in movies character trope. I thought we was done with the magical negro in film after The Green Book? This Peter Pan movie shouldn’t even be on Disney Plus! All this talk about diversity in Hollywood and they race bend and make Peter Pan black. What do you think about this Peter Pan 2020 movie racebending? The Hollywood trope is why you should cancel Peter Pan Walt Disney Studios! Do you even know about the dark back story of Peter Pan? Wendy movie box office flop coming soon. Cancel this Wendy movie Disney! We don’t want a live action black Peter Pan film!

In Zeitlin’s version, Neverland is an abandoned island flush with mountains and jungles. The villainous Captain Hook is nowhere to be found.

Wendy is the latest in a long string of Hollywood adaptations of Peter Pan‘s story. Plenty of directors have tackled the classic material, from Steven Spielberg with 1991’s Hook to Marc Forster’s Oscar-winning 2004 drama Finding Neverland, which focused its attention on playwright and Peter Pan creator J.M. Barrie. There have also been less memorable attempts, like the unfortunately named Pan, which flopped at the box office and was slammed by critics.

The classic story of Peter Pan is wildly reimagined in this ragtag epic from Benh Zeitlin, director of BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD. Lost on a mysterious island where aging and time have come unglued, Wendy must fight to save her family, her freedom, and the joyous spirit of youth from the deadly peril of growing up. Yashua Mack stars as Peter Pan in Wendy by Benh Zeitlin.
